MAY 3, 2011: Easen International’s team attended and guided the kick-off meeting for the Asian Development Bank (ADB) Technical Assistance (TA) 7225-PRC Improving Corporate Governance and Enhancing Institutional Capacity of Environmental and Social Management, a project which will take place in the city of Kunming.

Among the attendees were: ADB’s project Representative, Mr. NG Chun Jin; Sanchuan Energy Co. Ltd. General Manager, Xiaoliang Li, and Assistant President, Hui Liu; as well as EASEN’s General Manager, Dr. Ping Zhuang, Manager of Consulting, Kunping Zhou, and project specialists and support staff.
The proposed TA will develop Sanchuan Energy's institutional capacity to address the Environmental and Social Safeguard aspects of a small-scale hydropower project development and implementation.
Furthermore, regarding Corporate Governance, the TA will cover a thorough examination and analysis of the existing corporate governance policies and practices of Sanchuan, in order to recommend ways for Sanchuan Energy Development Co. Ltd. to become a well-run transparent company, consequently improving its performance and access to capital. |
