Leadership in the 21st Century: From an Energy Security and Environmental Protection Perspective
On May 21st, 2011, Harvard Global China Connection hosted the 2nd Annual Summer Conference series in partnership with Fudan Asia-Pacific Student Entrepreneurship Society and Fudan International Student Communication Association.
This two-part conference gathered 100 top students from Fudan University and other institutions in the Shanghai area for a day of presentations and discussions about energy security and environmental protection in both China and in the world as a whole.
The conference began in full swing with a public keynote address followed by a panel discussion. Lunch became a social gathering that allowed students to connect with each other and with the speakers, followed by an afternoon session for the audience to participate and ask questions.
EASEN’s General Manager, Dr. Ping Zhuang, participated in this event as one of the environmental panelists. He was one among many prestigious speakers present at the conference including the chairman of China Power Equipment, the China regional president of Barron Partners, the director of the Beijing Genomics Institute, the secretary of Shanghai Chengtou Corporation, and the executive director of Shanghai Roots and Shoots. |

The mission of this conference was to bridge the gap between the younger generation and the current environmentalist professionals, and judging by the sheer number of emails exchanged and connections made, this event was indeed a success.
